Welcome to Mission EDIFY

“Let us then, make it our aim, to work for peace and to edify one another”
(Romans 14: 19).

Mission EDIFY is a grassroots initiative to bridge the perplexing gap between the emotional aftermath of trauma and the Christian imperative to forgive.

Conventional wisdom asserts that forgiveness is a choice, not an emotion or feeling. Feelings catch up later. But my feelings lagged like out-of-shape runners who had lost sight of the finish line. When they were not lagging they ran fiercely ahead of reason. I needed a definitive path to healing and forgiveness that ministered to this reality. A reality that I discovered in over ten years of writing, field work, and small group facilitation is  not unique to me.

With great warmth and a bit of wit, I write and speak to illuminate Divine Mercy at work within our emotions, feelings, and desires—aka “the passions” (Aquinas), where fragments are gathered, nothing is wasted, and forgiveness flows freely in the fullness of time.
